One Bowl Cornbread: A Recipe for Success

There are few things as comforting as a piping hot slice of cornbread slathered with sweet cream butter. And while there are as many ways to make it as there are people who love to eat it, there is one ingredient for success: a bowl. That’s right, all you need is one bowl to mix up a batch of this delicious cornbread. Cornbread can be sweet or savory, but it all starts with the same simple recipe. And whether you bake it in a cast iron skillet, a muffin tin, or a cake pan, this one bowl method cornbread is always a winner. So why not give it a try?


· 1 cup cornmeal.

· 1 cup flour.

· 2/3 cup sugar.

· 1 tsp. salt.

· 3 1/2 baking powder.

· 1/3 cup melted butter.

· 1 egg beaten.

· 1 cup milk.


1. Grease a 9″ iron skillet and preheat the oven to 400.

2. In a large mixing bowl add all ingredients and stir well.

3. Pour into the 9” iron skillet.

4. Bake for 20-25 minutes.

5. Let cool for 10 minutes before slicing.
