Pumpkin Roll

The holiday season is here and that means it’s time to start prepping all the delicious food for the festivities. One of our favorite holiday recipes is pumpkin roll. This yummy treat is perfect for Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner. If you’re looking for a festive and delicious dessert to make for the holidays this, is it. Best of all, it’s easy to make!

Pumpkin roll is a type of cake made with a pumpkin-based batter. It’s usually rolled up with a cream cheese filling and a dusting of powder sugar.


Pumpkin Cake

· 1 cup white sugar

· 2/3 cup pumpkin puree

· 2 large eggs, beaten.

· ½ tsp. cinnamon

· ¾ cup all-purpose flour

· 1 tsp. soda

Cream Cheese Filling

· 8 oz. cream cheese

· 1 cup powdered sugar.

· 2 tbsp. softened butter.

· ¼ tsp. vanilla extract


1. Preheat the oven to 375*. Grease and line a 10 x 15” jelly roll pan.

2. Make the cake mix sugar, pumpkin puree, eggs, and cinnamon in a mixing bowl.

3. Mix flour and baking soda in a separate bowl. Add the flour mixture to the pumpkin mixture.

4. Stir until smooth spread evenly into the prepared pan.

5. Bake 15-20 minutes in preheated oven until the cake springs back when lightly touched.

6. Remove from the oven and cool for 5 minutes.

7. Invert cake onto a clean cotton tea towel (not a terry cloth).

8. Start with the short edge and roll up the cake in the towel jelly-roll style. Place seam side down and let cool for 15 minutes.

9. While the cake is cooling it’s time to make the filling. Beat the cream cheese, vanilla, and butter until light and creamy add powdered sugar until creamy and smooth.

10. When the cake has completely cooled unroll and remove from towel.

11. Spread filling all the way to the edges. Roll cake up again and wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate.

When it has cooled in the refrigerator overnight remove from plastic wrap and place on a serving plate and dust with powdered sugar. Slice and enjoy!!!!
